CINCINNATI - Five individuals, including three that have signed National Letters of Intent, will continue their educational and athletic careers with the University of Cincinnati tennis program, Head Coach Eric Toth announced today. All five individuals will be on campus in time to compete in the 2017-18 academic year.
“We are certainly losing a lot of quality off of this past season’s team, but we are bringing in a lot of quality with this year’s recruiting class,” Toth said of his group of newcomers. “With such a large class, this group will undoubtedly have a huge impact on the success of this program over the next several years. I am confident that this group has the talent and competitiveness to continue the upward direction of this program. It is going to be a very exciting Fall with this new-look team and I look forward to getting our new and veteran players together in August to start building the foundation of what everyone expects to be a successful 2017-18 season.”
The five newcomers join Emma Miceli (Mississauga, Ontario), who signed her NLI in November 2016. The newest additions to the program include Ellee Bullock (Dublin, Ohio/Utah State), Alexia Coutino (Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico), Ioana Guna (Craiova, Romania), Amanda Huser (Mason, Ohio), and Maria Teixido Garcia (Lleida Catalonia, Spain).
